One day I happened across a book called Invaders of the North, and in it was an image of an ancient Celtic disk of the sort which were put on the horse bridles to protect them in battle. Around the outer rim of the disk were faces looking in on a magical symbol. The faces are what struck me. I don't do Celtic magic or any other sort of magic, but I think the faces around the rims of these plates will intensify whatever you put in the middle. Bring your own magic.
